My faithful old hound Rex had to be put down.
There were many tears, and many memorials made. Rex was an amazing dog.
But now we have Octane.
He’ll never replace Rex (nothing could), but he’s trying very hard to love his humans.
I have a feeling that my love of saying “High Octane” every night I come home will be addicting.

Sorry to hear about Rex. No one can replace them, we just find more room in our heart to love another.
Hi Octane. Welcome to the OPPO family.

I prefer dogs to humans at the best of times. They love unconditionally and they make you a better person for it.
They have such a quizzical and playful nature that makes even the darkest day seem the brightest.

Mark Twain truly said it best.
“I have been studying the traits and dispositions of the “lower animals” and contrasting them with the traits and dispositions of man. I find the result humiliating to me.”

how old was Rex?

He's a handsome fellow. We lost our 14 year old grey a couple of months ago, so I feel for you. We just adopted a new guy ourselves. Big Al is his name. Aren't retired greyhounds the best?

Greyhounds are the absolute best dogs...or...cats....no, theyre dogs. Except for their amazing volume of poop, theyre perfect every way. Mine took our couch and wouldn’t give it back. He also was amazing at the dog park.

I'm so sorry about Rex. It's like having your heart ripped out when you lose a pet. Just let Octane put it back for ya.

Sorry for the loss, but congrats on giving another grey a good home.
Yes, we have a skinny weird dog too. Bema:
Took her on her first hike yesterday, and interacted with many non-greyhounds and people.

They really are an amazing breed. I’m sorry for your loss as well, but happy to hear you got another.

Greyhounds are awesome. They love sleep more than me. My first one was white/tan. After he passed my second one is brindle like Rex.
